Meg Yim and Peter Schmidt-Löffler joining as Network Ambassadors

OceanX continues to expand its team of network ambassadors, welcoming Meg Yim and Peter Schmidt-Löffler, adding further expertise to the network’s organisation.

Meg as a professional executive strive for innovation and procurement excellence in logistics and supply chain, she is committed to continuous improvement, providing strategic planning, innovative digitalised solution and mutually beneficial partnership with industry stakeholders.

Meg’s knowledge in digital transformation, procurement and commercial strategy has been honed with some of the best known companies in the global supply chain and maritime industry – P&O Nedlloyd, Panalpina, Geodis, Vanguard, ECU and Containerchain, an innovative technology company.  She is a keynote speaker and consulting for digitalization, procurement and strategy for transportation and supply chain.

She holds bachelor degrees in transportation & logistics management from Australia’s RMIT University, maritime & shipping management from Hong Kong’s Polytechnic University, and she is a negotiation master from Harvard Law School.

 Peter Schmidt-Löffler  

Peter is looking back at a successful carrier in freight forwarding that started with Lassen in Germany and led him to the United States with Danzas.

More than 25 years ago Peter relocated to South Africa and has been heading different logistics firms, mainly in commercial functions with his last role being a shareholder and CEO of CFR Group of Companies.

Peter is a passionate and sales driven individual with a vast experience throughout the shipping industry, in different markets and an expert in terms of logistics on the African continent.

Today, Peter is involved in different projects under his company PSL Trading, consulting and trading in Africa and beyond.

“We are honoured to have  Peter join our team. His broad experience in the industry and on the African continent makes him a key advisor in the network.” Ruben commented.

The network’s launch conference will be held in Dubai, U.A.E. on November 26th-29th 2018.
